Retirement Party!

July 31st - Retirement Party!

July 31st, my last day of work.  It is still hard to believe after working over 39+ years.  It will feel strange not to have a job to go back to.  Or, more likely, it is going to feel GREAT!  Or so that is what I hear from everyone who has retired before me.  I spent the last 16 years at the Attorney General's Office, and they gave me a really nice send off party.  I felt blessed that there were so many friends and family who came to help me celebrate the end of this era of my life.   And, for those of you who put this great party on for me, Thank you again, it was really really nice. Enjoy the pictures.

Laura, Tracy, Erin and Pam Skinner, my boss!

Laura, who made my favorite cupcakes, Boston Creme Pie!  Thank you Laura!

What great decorations and theme for the party,
can't wait to visit all the places recommended.

Our wonderful daughter, who is always so helpful and supportive.
Thank you Stephanie Postier for all you do for us!

My wonderful husband of 39 years and my traveling partner.
We are both so excited to start this next new adventure.
We have been planning for a few years now and have
been savoring the adventures to come.
I love you John Zirkle, you look really happy!

Ready for the festivities!

Enjoying some of those Boston Creme cupcakes!

Melissa Brearty, what a great co-worker!

Kim Siebs, what a great friend and co-worker.  I will miss you.  Thanks for all the go-to-meetings, consulting sessions, and sharing the Legal Assistant Class Study with me!  We did good!!

And dear Jasmine, my right arm, or should I say left (since I am left handed), she is always there for me,  always has what I need at the ready, calms me down when I get anxious, and helps me get organized!  I will miss you much.

All in all it was a wonderful day with a lot of wonderful people helping me celebrate retirement!

Now let's hit the road!!
