Moses Lake

Retired July 31st, hit the road August 2nd and headed to Moses Lake for the first couple of weeks.  Will be spending time with the grandkids.

John and Cole made an arsenal of weapons out of braces and sticks, bows and arrows, hand spear, and then had to try them out.

Cole also loves fishing, saw some great big fish, and had some on the hook, but didn't bring any in.

At the end of the lake there are some great sand dunes.  You can drive over them if you have a 4 wheel drive, right down to the beach.  The beach is sandy and a great place to swim and play.
It is also a great place to go if you have quads!

This was really fun, we spent many hours here just enjoying the warm weather, the water and the kids dug holes in the sand for hours!

We spent one day riding our bikes into town, let the kids play at the park for a while and then we had lunch at a great local hamburger place called Woody's.  Just a couple of blocks from the local City Water Park.

If you are in town with kids, the city water park is a great place to go.  The cost is just $8 for kids and $10 for adults.  Here are a few pictures from our time at the Surf and Slide Water Park.
Ethan and Cole tried the wave machine.  Pretty Fun!

Cole and Ellie have gone home now and Ethan and Bella are hanging with Grandma and Grandpa for a few days.

We went to Ephrata where E & B's other grandparents are camping and played a round of golf!  With and Bella both got a whole in one!
Bella's hole in one!

John and Ethan got some Elk calling whistles and learned how to call Elk!
I don't know when they are going to go hunting, but they were having fun!

August 11th, the kids have all gone home now and we are on our own.  We will be headed to Kennewick to visit some relatives and then on to White Bird, ID and Hells Canyon for a Jet Boat Ride!  Can't wait, we'll post some pictures when we get them.

Stay Tuned, More to Come!
