Family Vacation in Cabo San Lucas - April 2015

Spring Break - April 4-11, 2015  

We had the fun opportunity to take a family trip to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate our soon coming Retirement when everyone was available on Spring Break.  These are our grandchildren from left to right, Ethan 10, Cole 10, down front Ellie 8, Julieanna 13, and Bella 9.  They are jumping in the Pacific Ocean out in front of our resort.  We saw whales breaching right out behind where the kids are playing.  So fun to see.

 We stayed at the Solmar Beach Club on the tip of the Cabo San Lucas peninsula.  Here are some views from our rooms.

We had room service every day and the maid decorated our bed!  Very fun.

 We did some scuba diving and snorkeling.  The brave scuba divers were:  John, Jacob, Stephanie, Ethan, Bella, Tim, Dillon, Jamie and Cole!  Very proud of all of them for trying this for the first time for most of them.

So proud of everyone giving diving a try.  They got to see a lot of different fish, red snapper, trumpeters, eels, sun fish, and they even saw some sharks!!  How exciting.  Jamie got stung by a "yellow fish" but she just kept on going!






Us non-divers did some snorkeling and had a great time as well.  We saw a lot of fish including puffer fish, angel fish and even a few nemos!

And some of the great dining opportunities we had.  We loved Captain Tony's on the Marina and also had some great meals in other restaurants in downtown Cabo.

To finish off our week, we had a great family dinner at the Resort Restaurant Friday night before leaving.  We shared family memories, future plans, and we each went around the table recounting our favorite memories of the week.  Great to hear the kids tell us what their favorite memories were, very interesting that the theme was just spending time together as a family!  We sure do love our kids and the time we share with them.
